A BIG THANKS!

A big thanks goes out to everyone that has posted such wonderful comments on my blog.  It been a great big boost of confidence for me.  I worked with my hands ever since I can remember and card making and scrapbooking  are fairly new to me.  Well somewhat.  I'm working on a new card for Joan's Garden JustRite Blog Hop and hope to have it posted by tomorrow.  Wish me luck.

Till later

Forgive my errors of my ways this morning.

First of all thank you for all the nice comments,  I am sorry the pictures were not on the blog this morning.    They were there last night when I went to bed.  Something happened overnight, but thanks to a very good friend that came over this morning we got all the kinks worked out.  So I hope next time won't be as bad.

Thanks for hanging in.

P.S.  Sorry about the picture Barb.

Joan's Gardens JustRite Challenge and Blog hop

Good Morning,  I have been asked to be a guest designer for the second Joan's Gardens blog hop and Challenge with the Grand Prize from JustRite Stamps. It's worth over $191.00, can it get any better than that.  What a terrific honor this has been for me to be a part of this hop.  I so like JustRite stamps.

For my card I started with a folded 5 1/2 x 7 3/4 pink CS topped with Mariposa DP and then a double sided MS garden trellis punch in white with a pink satin rushed ribbon.
The focal point was the roses from JustRite new set Greatest Joy.  I stamped the design twice and colored both with Prismacolor pencils. I cut out the roses and ribbon and popped them up to give them depth.  A little bit of fine glitter was added to the bow.  I used a SB oval die to cut the white oval out and the next size up using the same Mariposa DP which was the embossed with a CB folder.  The white heavy vellum SU was cut using the SB beaded oval and then hand embossed using a stylus.  Tiny pearls were added between the beaded oval as well as at the top and bottom of the pink matt using SB Labels 8.  I tried several new techniques on this card that I have never done before and am quite please with the end results.
I hope you enjoy my card and the rest of cards along the hop.

The Second Day

I want to thank everyone for the nice comments yesterday.  It did my heart good.  I just finished going through a blog hop and leaving comments to everyone for the first time.  I know that I have wanted to from time to time, but just didn't have the courage to do it.  But each day will bring something new for me to learn.  So bare with me on this journey in this chapter of my like, maybe it's not a chapter, just a phase.

  Until later,

My First Blog Entry

I entered this card in Joan's Garden Blog back early December and had a ball doing it.  I didn't get much done, but then heck, it's all about cards.

Now I will get busy and start doing another for you to see.
